Farmers and ranchers working together
There is no sole owner of the Yellowstone Valley Food Hub. We are a group of 12 area farmers and ranchers working together to increase access to delicious, quality local food. YVFH has been many years in the making. Northern Plains Resource Council initially brought together these producers with various backgrounds to discuss the barriers to selling direct to customers. With passion, a wide range of skills, and many hours spent together, a co-operative was cultivated.
With the help of Northern Plains we raised $100,000 in 2018 with donations ranging from $5 to $20,000. This helped us hire a general manager and launch our online local food marketplace, but our fundraising work is not over. We still need to raise another $80,000 in 2019 to have secure financial footing.
The success of this project relies on support from our community. Every donation, no matter how small, allows our farmers and ranchers the opportunity to get the fruits of their labor directly to your family's table.

Who we are:
12 Families
5 Farmers | 7 Ranchers
9 Fathers | 8 Mothers
14 Kids (of the human kind, many more goats)
We are working hard to keep the food we cultivate in our community.
Who we are not:
We are not big ag. We are not subdivisions and strip malls.
We are not taking your hard earned dollars and pumping them out of state.
To continue this work, we need your help. The start-up costs in 2019 include securing
distribution, a facility, reach in coolers, walk in freezers, and other items our sales alone won't cover.
Please consider a donation to make local food accessible in your community.
